Makes 2 to 3 serves


2 eggs, egg yolks and whites separated

2 tablespoons cornflour

1 tablespoon caster sugar

4 scoops of Diamond pro+ Premium Toddler Milk Drink

240 mL of water


  1. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks.
  2. Using an electric hand held mixer, whisk the egg yolks and caster sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the cornflour and whisk lightly for a further 30 or so seconds, until creamy in colour.
  4. Whisk the Diamond pro+ Toddler Milk Drink and water until a little fluffy and add two tablespoons to the sugar and egg mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Transfer the remaining milk to a small saucepan and place on the stove top on a low heat. Gently heat the Diamond pro+ Premium Toddler Milk Drink until small bubbles appear, then pour in all the sugar and egg mix.
  6. Take a stirring spoon, and gently stir the milk and egg mix until well combined. The trick to this custard developing into a smooth, luscious and thick custard is to stir constantly. It will take around five minutes, on a low heat, for the milk to develop into the custard. Once cooked, allow the custard to cool a little, then it’s ready to serve.

Serving hint: this custard pairs beautifully with stewed apple and sultanas. Perhaps sit with your toddler, give them a spoon and see how well they may spoon some of this custard and fruit into their mouths.
